Without surgery

Patients dread the thought of treatment, if it has to be done using surgery. No longer is this necessary!

Foam Sclerotherapy

Treatment is usually carried out within a treatment or ultrasound examination room, and not an operating theatre.

Laser Ablation

Laser ablation is the name for a new technique to remove varicose veins. Laser light heats the vein to destroy it.

VNUS Closure

Radiofrequency ablation is the name for a new technique that heats the veins with electrical energy and destroys it.

Surgical Treatments

Surgical treatments are invasive, requires anaesthesia, longer recovery time and may not be the best way forward.

Microsclerotherapy

Microsclerotherapy is a technique used for the removal of spider veins, involving injections with a sclerosing drug.

Our specialist will discuss the treatment and cost plan with you. The details of the proposed treatment will be provided in writing.

The first thing is to seek the advice of a specialist in vein treatments. Prior to examining your leg clinically and undertaking colour duplex ultrasound examination, our vein specialists will sit down with you to discuss your vein problems - whether cosmetic, symptomatic or both, your past medical history - including any previous vein treatment you may have had. The consultant will then undertake a colour duplex ultrasound scan. He will discuss the results of the examination and advise you of the treatment options most suitable for you, clearly explaining all the benefits and the risks.
